My name is Shay Kelly Ashford and I am originally from Chicago, IL. I believe the essence of artisan
jewelry is that each piece is hand crafted by the artist. Fortunately, I take great pleasure in designing jewelry
just from looking at a bunch of loose stones and/or raw materials and making it something wonderful.
Two years ago, I began making jewelry as a hobby. Although I loved the process of creating jewelry, it was
just a hobby to me. Eventually, I gained enough confidence in my work to start to wear some of my jewelry
and even began giving pieces as gifts (of course with free repairs because I was still learning). After a couple
of phone calls from people offering to buy pieces they had seen on friends, family and co-workers, and
a lady at a restaurant requested to buy a piece right off my neck, I was ready to take the plunge.
When designing my art, I keep three standards in mind throughout the creation of all my pieces; quality,
uniqueness, and beauty. Throughout Kelly’s Unique Creations jewelry, I incorporate all unusual and unique
pieces, no two are alike. Our jewelry reflects a belief in the value of the individual and the handmade work
versus the anonymity of machine work. Turn heads, capture a room, or make a statement with our jewelry.
Each month, one of our main goals is to reinvent a totally new and different line of jewelry within our own
style. Not only does this keep us excited about making jewelry, but I think our customers appreciate it as
well. We try to update our blog with new pieces every month or so to reflect these evolving changes.
We try and have a variety of jewelry designs that everybody can connect with. So whether you like exotic
jewelry, prefer a more natural piece, or something just colorful, fun and playful, we hope that you’ll find
